Carers are generally unsung heroes… mostly they are people who care for their loved one’s full time, that are either elderly, or terminally ill or have a disability including mental health.
We had a special afternoon to recognise a few of the many female carers within our Macarthur region, held out at Caffe 104 in Werombi. This event is usually help during Carers Week in October, however this year we bought it forward with the idea of a better opportunity for those who are usually busy with The Mater Dei Fete.
Karon the owner of Caffe 104 opened her doors and partnered with us together with Brand New Day members and friends, all volunteering their time, expertise and kindness, to help provide some carers an afternoon of pampering.
A wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate carers and recognise the extraordinary contribution they make to their families, friends and the wider community and offer a little bit of time out for the special guests to recharge their batteries.
Many thanks to the Pamper Team of Volunteers – Lauren, Leanne, Karon, Therese, Jane, Suzie, Shelly, Marie from Essential Wellness with Marie, Jean from LuluJean Flow Yoga and Sandra from Sandra’s One Stop Beauty Shop.
Thank you to Event Sponsor – Caffe 104
Pamper guests were given a care bag to take home as a reminder of the day.
