Letters of Hope delivery 1/7/18

You know you are making a difference when you look someone in the eyes and you can see tears being held back and they say to you “I’m sad because I won’t be having the promised visit from my family member today…”

It feels so heart-warming to be able to share with them one of the Letters of Hope or cards made by the community that are sent to us to be delivered. Even the Team Hope young people understand what a difference they make to those residents we visit; even giving up their Sunday mornings to participate.

We had the privilege to visit Estia’s ‘Camden House’ residents, delivering nearly 80 letter. After giving out the letters we shared time playing games, completing word searches, hearing the resident’s stories & their jokes.

Every one of our Team Hope crew enjoyed the experience asking when the next visit will be.
